The NorCal GEC is committed to the development and infusion of geriatrics and gerontology curriculum content into health science programs at institutions of higher education in Northern California.

Current Curriculum Development Projects:

• Associate Degree Nursing curriculum, Cabrillo College

• Geriatric Issues in Family Primary Care: course for Family Nurse Practitioner students, Department of Family Health Care Nursing, UCSF School of Nursing

• Medical Readers’ Theater course on Old Age and Aging, Joint Medical Program, UC Berkeley

• Inter-Professional Educational Experience in geriatrics for MSW students (California State University, Sacramento) and medical students in Doctoring course, UC Davis

• Curriculum modules for course on Policy, Programs, and Practice for Older Americans, School of Social Work, California State University, Chico
