Governance

Governance and oversight of the Center is achieved through two independent bodies: the NorCal GEC Advisory Board and Executive Committee. Our Advisory Board includes representatives from our collaborative community partners and Core Faculty (see below) from the participating health sciences disciplines of our consortium partners. The Executive Committee is comprised of the GEC Director, the GEC Associate Director, and the Directors and Program Coordinators from our consortium members.

Core Faculty

Our fourteen-member Core Faculty is composed of representatives from several health professions disciplines including Dentistry, Medical Anthropology, Medicine, Long Term Care Administration, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Public Health, and Social Work. In addition to serving on our Advisory Board, the Core Faculty are involved in creating and directing the educational content of NorCal GEC programs, and have primary teaching responsibilities for the Faculty Scholars Program.
